Clearfield Expands Fiber Reach With the Launch of DIN Rail Cassette Mounting Kit

Compact, Flexible Fiber Solution for Varying Market Applications

MINNEAPOLIS, Feb. 16, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Clearfield, Inc. (NASDAQ:CLFD), the specialist in fiber management and connectivity platforms for communications providers, further expanded its FieldSmart Fiber Delivery Point (FDP) line of products with the introduction of the DIN Rail Cassette Mounting Kit.

For an increasing number of industries, anytime, anywhere connectivity is no longer an option, but a requirement. The FieldSmart DIN Rail Cassette Mounting Kit is an ideal solution when productivity is dependent upon communications efficiency and reliability but where, due to unique location and space challenges, the solution must provide maximum system reliability and flexibility. The compact size of the DIN Rail Cassette Mounting Kit is ideal when space is at a premium - allowing customers to bring fiber management to areas previously unreachable.

Equipped with a bracket that accepts up to two Clearview Blue Cassettes for up to 24 ports of connectivity, the DIN Rail Cassette Mounting Kit mounts to an industry standard DIN rail. When more than 12 ports are needed, adding additional ports is as easy as sliding a second cassette onto the rail kit bracket. The DIN rail kit mounts with a simple, snap-on motion and can be mounted vertically, horizontally or with adapters facing out, with no specialty bulkheads needed.

“The DIN Rail Cassette Mounting Kit exemplifies Clearfield’s dedication to creating custom solutions for our customers and in this case, for space constrained areas where versatile mounting options are needed,” said Carole Nickelson, inside plant product manager at Clearfield. “Customers can now provide patch and splice, patch only and plug-and-play options, and install Clearview Blue Cassettes in areas they were not able to before.”

Ideal for a variety of networking applications, the DIN Rail Cassette Mounting Kit can be used anywhere DIN rail is installed, including industrial and transportation locations and oil and gas markets. It can also be applied for general use in the enterprise and customer premise space.

“Companies are looking for improved ways to bring fiber to their industry, thereby improving operational performance and accuracy,” added Johnny Hill, chief operating officer at Clearfield. “The fiber management provided by the Clearview Cassette ensures all the critical elements of fiber management are met, thereby delivering optimal fiber performance.”

The DIN Rail Cassette Mounting Kit is now shipping. See the product introduction video and for more information, contact your local Clearfield sales representative.
