Clearfield Chief Kevin Morgan Returns to FTTH Council Americas Board

MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Clearfield, Inc. (NASDAQ: CLFD), the specialist in fiber management for communication service providers, announced today that its chief marketing officer, Kevin Morgan, has been elected as a member of the board of directors for the Fiber to the Home (FTTH) Council Americas.

Since 2010, Morgan has contributed his decades of advanced communications technology, fiber optic systems and business product marketing experience as an active member of the FTTH Council Americas.

“The FTTH Council Americas has been a reputable and highly-respected resource within the fiber market and community,” commented Morgan. “I’m honored to have been elected as a member of the board by my peers in the industry. I look forward to participating in key agenda-setting initiatives to help accelerate fiber deployment, promote the economic and quality of life benefits of all-access fiber and remove obstacles to deploying the gigabit services that power smart cities.”

This appointment of Morgan marks nearly six years as a FTTH Council Americas board member. Chair of the government affairs committee, marketing committee and the 2015 board of directors chairman are among some of the titles Morgan has held within the council.

Members of the board are responsible for critical decisions regarding the direction and programs set by the FTTH Council Americas. The Council’s nine board members are elected for three-year terms, which are staggered such that each year there are openings for three directors. This year the council had a total of seven nominees running for the three open positions.
